We would all love a tidy child. A place for everything and everything in it’s place so the saying goes, but if lockdown has taught us anything it’s that a perfect world and that perfect child are not always present, certainly not always visible. But help is at hand….. with the need for space around us always uppermost in our minds nowadays - and maybe forever, we’ve created some smaller units to help you organise, plan and get into the swing of having a little structure in ‘your space’. You’ll feel better, your little charges will feel a sense of ownership and pride and hopefully confidence in their ability to put away.

Now we would all love that wouldn’t we?’ And of course it will prepare them for the larger classroom settings they will encounter in the coming years. Child psychologists tell us that spatial problems can relate to disorganisation and there is an optimum time in early years to encourage order, tidiness, cleanliness. Keep it simple and well defined. A coloured guideline will help. “Put the toys in the red tray” along with “Books can be put on the shelf” or “The paint pots are in the locked cupboard”.
Of course you can buy the units separately, choose your base size from the two, three or 4 column version but if you want a complete stackable storage solution then select your open shelf, cupboard or cubbyhole top to fit, then choose your cubby tray colour. Remember these trays are the same height as Gratnell’s deep trays but with a shorter width and length (H 150mm x W260mm and depth 312mm). Check out our simple video here. Remember the overall depth of your unit is only 350mm.
